An All-American Weekend

Got a new grill (charcoal), mower, and weed-eater.  Watched some baseball, grilled some burgers, and mowed the lawn.  Let spring/summer begin!

Apple Trees!

Planted two Honeycrisp and one CrimsonCrisp dwarf apples trees from Stark Bros.  It'll be a couple years before we start getting apples, but we can't wait!

Garden

Got around to putting in a garden bed - 4'x16' made from treated landscaping timbers.

I went ahead and planted cucumbers, onions, and radishes.  Sarah helped me plant carrots, then she watered them with her squirt gun.

All Moved In - Let the Adventures Begin!

Well, we moved in on August 25th.  Here's a bunch of pictures taken on the day before we moved in (hence the painting-in-progress you'll notice in a few pictures).  Sorry it took so long to put these up.

I need to take a few new pictures, too.  Since these were taken, I've put up some wainscoting, window treatments, changed lighting, planted grass, added a lot of furniture, etc.

Keys

You see that thing right there?  It's a key.  Whose key is it?  Ours!  That's right: we've got keys, and we're ready to move in.  Boy oh boy, are we ready to move in.

Lighting, More Paint

Most of the bath hardware has been installed, along with the mirrors and vanity tops.  Most of the closet shelving is in, albeit a bit too high for Ann & I.  The ceiling fans and nearly all of the lights have been hooked up.  The paint is well on its way to being finished, probably just another day or so.

Paint

Painting isn't done, but it's well on it's way.  Nearly all of the trim and doors have been painted.  Sarah's room has been painted (SW: Free Spirit).  The other kid's/guest room has been painted (SW: Latte).  The bathroom and adjoining hallway have been painted (SW: Anjou Pear).  The great room and kitchen have yet to be painted, but they will also be in Anjou Pear.  The master bedroom and bath will be Latte.
