Ready for Framing

The trusses have been set down at the site.  John, our builder, has informed us that he plans to have his carpenters start on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, we've had a couple weeks of delays.  When the closing for our previous house got pushed back a month, John had to reschedule with his subcontractors.  Naturally, this pushed us towards the end of their schedules.  Not ideal, but understandable.  We're definitely looking forward to seeing the framing progress!

Trusses

After a couple weeks of no visible progress, Dad just informed me that the trusses are laying at the worksite.  No I-beams or other timber yet, but it must be coming soon if the trusses are there.

Basement Floor

The basement floor has been poured, stress lines have been cut, and the walls have been back-filled.  (and no, there's not a duck coming in for a landing in each picture; my camera lens had a piece of lint stuck inside).

The walls got poured and the forms have been removed. Looks like we're ready for basement floor and then framing, etc.
