Lockers

For those wondering what the mudroom "lockers" are - here's a picture of them.  Essentially a shelf up top with coat hooks, bead-board below, and then a bench with built in drawers.

Google must have updated the Pekin-area satellite imagery, because it now shows our house (it's the new one in the lower-right)!

Counter tops, lockers, & gutters

The granite is in.  The lockers (drawers & coat hooks) have been installed in the mud room.  The gutters and downspouts are done.

Too much to say in a title

While we were gone on vacation, a lot of things got done.  The wood floor got completed.  All of the tile got laid, including the tiled shower in the master bathroom.  The trim and mantle were put in place.  Doors got hung.  Newels and handrails are in (but not balusters/spindles).  Cabinets got installed.  The rest of the driveway, sidewalk, and patio got poured.

More Flooring

The wood flooring is almost done.  Just a little bit left in the master bedroom.  And the cabinets have been delivered, but not installed yet.

Primer and Flooring

Its amazing what some primer and flooring can do - the house looks much more complete now.

The entire house has been primered, though no paint has been put on the walls.  The wood flooring (natural hickory) has largely been completed in the great room.  The air conditioning has been hooked up and turned on.  It looks like the driveway is being prepped for concrete.  I also just talked to our builder, and he mentioned that cabinets might be coming today.
